Jewish Family Services is a not-for-profit organization that provides support services for members of the community. They address a variety of needs and are founded on the values of Judaism. Though they are a Jewish organization, they serve all members of the community regardless of their religion or beliefs. They are one of the most key parts of the project. They provide the families that the produce is delivered to. With the help of Carol Bender and Jerry Starr, I was able to bring produce to so many members of the community who otherwise would not have access to this produce. Throughout the summer, each family received a large bag full of produce, recipes, and nutritional sheets. The hope is to educate the families and encourage good eating habits and make them as enthusiastic about the produce as am I and those harvesting and delivering the produce.
